Fresh off the debut of a Game of Thrones chapter Vice called “one of the greatest episodes in television history,” director Matt Shakman will answer fan questions in an exclusive event for supporters of Mike Johnston’s campaign for Colorado governor.
Shakman, who directed episodes 4 and 5 of this season’s Game of Thrones series on HBO, will appear via Google Hangout and take questions from fans Monday Aug. 14 at 7 p.m.
“I’ve been friends with Matt since we did one-man shows together in a 40-seat college theater, and he is clearly now one of the most talented directors working today,” Johnston said. “As Courtney and I are both huge Game of Thrones fans, the chance to talk about a show we love with my campaign supporters and a director who we love was too great to pass up.”
In addition to his Game of Thrones episodes, Shakman’s resume includes direction of episodes of House, Mad Men, The Good Wife and It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia, among others.
A limited number of tickets for the event at Parkside Mansion, 1859 York Street in Denver, are available for a minimum $20 donation to Johnston’s campaign and can be found here: https://www.mikejohnston
